Back for a third year, The Super Super-8 Film Festival rolled into Seattle on 26 May for two performances at the Little Theater courtesy of Emerald Reels and Blackchair Productions and the Northwest Film Forum.
This 10-film screening was cinematic circus that celebrated the beauty of small gauge, DIY filmmaking from around the world in a variety-film-show incorporating live musical performance, audience sing-a-longs, prizes, bingo, and giveaways. Movies by experimental film mavens Martha Colburn and Greta Snider, Northwest filmmakers Matt McCormick, Rachel Lord, and Reed O’Beirne -- plus international participants from the Netherlands to Singapore. Live music by Ota Prota accompanied the films and bingo was played throughout the evening.
